Let's try this again, shall we?


Well, that was quite the time lapse. Let's start fresh with some delicious pasties. My new kitchen is SO much better for cooking in, and I've been taking advantage of it when I get the chance. A month or so ago I made my own version of pasties. I used equal parts sausage and ground beef, then added peas, finely sliced carrots, turnips, and onions, some shortening, spices, and gravy powder. Mixed it up well, plopped it in little pastry shells, vented and glazed with egg, and bake it all for 40 min at 350. Very tasty.
